What vutuv is
What vutuv does differently
A business network for people and organizations. Profiles, posts and messages, and every profile readable by anyone, entirely without an account.
Curious? Have a look at the profile of vutuv founder Stefan Wintermeyer: vutuv.de/wintermeyer. With or without a vutuv account of your own.
People and organizations
A profile for you, a page for your organization, and the order is always the same:
-
1
You create your own account, as a person.
-
2
Signed in, you then create the page of your organization: a business, an association, a school, a public authority or any other group.
-
3
Then you bring colleagues on board who help run it.
Your data stays here
On our own servers in Deutschland, in no foreign cloud, and nothing of it is stored abroad.
No third-party cookies, no tracking: vutuv sets a single cookie, the one that keeps you signed in, and loads nothing from anybody else's server.
Deutschland
Fit for the family and for the workplace
vutuv is a professional network, and one you can show your children. Everything here should be fine for a colleague, your boss and a twelve-year-old to read.
Fast, even on a poor connection
vutuv is fast. And where the connection is poor, in the countryside, on the train or abroad, the low-bandwidth mode keeps it usable: switch it on once, and vutuv loads noticeably less.
Simple
vutuv is for everyone. Simple, logical handling of every feature matters to us. On the phone and on the desktop, of course.
Try it, and leave if you like
An account takes a minute. If you do not like it here, you delete it yourself. Nobody asks why, and you are welcome back any time.
For the technically minded
If you want to know exactly
- With or without the Fediverse. vutuv is part of the Fediverse, the union of independent networks that Mastodon belongs to as well. Whether your posts take part is your choice at sign-up, and one switch in the settings later. We are not religious about it: each to their own.
- Open source. The whole source code is public under the MIT license, so everything said above can be read rather than taken on trust. Run it yourself for a company, an association or a school, on the internet or air-gapped inside your own network.
- Readable by machines. Every public page is also served as Markdown, plain text, JSON, XML and vCard under the same address, plus RSS, a sitemap, JSON-LD and a REST API with OAuth 2. No scraping, no API key, no account.
- Sign in without a password. By emailed PIN, passkey, authenticator app or a printed list of codes.
