What does vutuv cost?
Nothing. There are no paid premium accounts, every account has the same features.
Can I look at profiles and posts on vutuv without signing up?
Yes. Every profile and every public post can be read without an account. For example: vutuv.de/wintermeyer
Where does my data live?
On our own servers in Deutschland, in no foreign cloud.
Does vutuv use third-party cookies or any other external tracking?
No. vutuv sets a single cookie, the one that keeps you signed in, and loads nothing from anybody else's server.
Can I bring my LinkedIn profile along?
Yes. The import reads the data export LinkedIn hands you and takes over your CV; you check and save.
How does my organization (a business, an association, a public authority …) get a page?
First you create your own account. Signed in, you then create the organization and give yourself and other members rights within it, for example admin or editorial.
What does vutuv have to do with the Fediverse?
Every member decides for themselves whether their vutuv account takes part in the Fediverse. You make that choice at sign-up and can change it any time later in the settings, in either direction.
Is vutuv open source?

Is there an API?
For developers there is a clean REST API, described in the developer documentation. If you only want to pull a profile's data quickly, append .md or .json to its address. Developer documentation Example: vutuv.de/wintermeyer.json
Can I delete my account again?
Any time, and it takes a minute: look for “Delete account” in the settings, the red entry.
